Who is the fictional character you relate to the most?
Probably Jo March from Little Women and Mary Lennox from The Secret Garden.
I relate to Jo because she is independent, outspoken, creative and determined to become a writer. She leaves the comfort of her family home to go to New York, earn her own living and pursue a life beyond what society expected from women at the time. She loves her family deeply, but she also needs freedom, purpose and a story of her own.
I relate to Mary because she is curious, strong-willed and drawn to hidden places. After being sent to live in a mysterious old house, she discovers a locked, forgotten garden and becomes determined to bring it back to life. In doing so, she uncovers secrets, helps other people change and creates a new life for herself.
So I think I’m a mixture of Jo’s independence and determination to write, and Mary’s fascination with old houses, hidden stories and forgotten things waiting to be rediscovered.
