If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be and why?
I’d love to be able to sit in front of something beautiful, sketch it properly, and paint what I’m actually seeing.
Old buildings, ruins, graves, crooked cottages, stormy skies, strange little lanes, dogs, flowers, castles — all the things I stop to photograph because they catch something in me.
I don’t mean just splashing paint around and hoping for the best. I mean really being able to look, understand shape and light, get it down on paper, and turn a moment into something I made with my own hands.
I think that would feel like a kind of magic
