What’s something you’d love to see in the future, but know you probably won’t live to witness?
Aliens. Definitely aliens.
Friendly little E.T. situation? Lovely. I’ll get the snacks out and try not to embarrass humanity.
Full War of the Worlds situation? Less ideal, obviously, but I do feel I’ve watched enough alien invasion movies to be weirdly overconfident.
I know the basics: don’t run toward the glowing light, don’t trust the government briefing, avoid suspicious cornfields, and if someone says “we come in peace,” keep one eye on the spaceship.
Would I actually handle it well? Unclear.
Would I think I was handling it well because I’ve seen Independence Day, Signs, Arrival and Men in Black?
Absolutely.
