Quick Q and A!

What’s the first book you ever finished and still remember to this day?

I honestly can’t remember the very first book I ever finished, but I do know my reading age was very advanced when I was young.

Some of the earliest books I clearly remember reading were Lorna Doone, Little Women, The Secret Garden, Charlotte’s Web, the Bible, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, and The Iliad and The Odyssey.

I still have vivid memories from some of those books. Charlotte’s Web, The Secret Garden, and Little Women have stayed with me for nearly 50 years, and they’re still among my favourite books today. I think that says a lot about the power of a story when it reaches you at the right age.

I usually finish books, but the first one I left unfinished was A Tale of Two Cities.
