Quick Q and A!

When do you feel most productive?

I don’t think I have one most productive time.

My brain tends to start firing after coffee and then just keeps going, whether that is helpful or not. Some of it is good productive: writing ideas, blog thoughts, future plans, things I want to research or create.

Some of it is less useful productive, like waking up in the middle of the night wondering why I’m 55 and have somehow never seen a baby pelican or a baby seagull. Where are they all hiding?

Then I’ll go back to sleep, wake up again an hour later, and add three future post ideas into Google Docs.

So my honest answer is: I feel most productive when my brain catches onto something. Time of day doesn’t seem to matter much. Coffee helps. Curiosity helps more. Sleep would probably help too, but apparently my brain and sleep are still in negotiations.

Yup – totally agree on that brain versus sleep scenario. Hence the reason why I’ve not answered this prompt myself today! Three CDs of ’70s rock between 2am and 5am last night didn’t help either with rocking off to sleep or my blogging productivity this morning. 😃
